12 Tags of 2013 - July.

Yet again Dorrie gets to post while Tally's off to bed.

Here is July's not Tag

Tim Holtz's challenge tag can be seen here

Keeping with his idea, its has been brayered with distress ink, 2 shades of blue, it needed to look like a sky and not too dark. The clouds and sun are done with distress paint, some of it mixed with distress ink, the clouds needed a pink effect to look like a sunset!  The Bat was drawn with black pen.  To keep with the theme the clouds and bat have been treated with Crackle Accent

We then set about giving it a background and spent an hour spraying Dylusion Inks mainly on to my large journal.  The background here I think is going to be used for something else but I like the way the night sky is covered with stars an idea I might just borrow.

Tally is still not sure she likes it and its not quite a tag but it was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

happy art!

12 Tags 0f 2013 - June.

Hi its another month when Dorrie gets to up load Tally's Tag. She is happy to say its a pleasure to be of help.

After missing a month, as last month didn't inspire, this one was done with enthusiasm, the ingredients were put on the table then left to play.  A little help was given with the background as the Distress Paints would not do as she wanted to create a sky and grass, but I thing we got there in the end after several attempts and lot of learning.  All done with a smile.

The trees, bush, lake and girls hand drawn, the young girls are playing with a small dag look carefully and you can see the tail and head poking out from younger of the girls. The Distress Pens would not do as required, so Promarkers were used, just goes to show how the Distress products mix with the rest of crafting products on the market

Tally hopes you like.  If you would like to see Tim Holtz's tag press here to take a peek.

I almost forgot the discussion about the birds, of the eagle, albatross and the flock in the distance. lol!

Snow Art

Well as promised, seeing as Britain has returned to chilly weather again, I thought I would show you  the last of this years snow art.  This one is made in Finland.  Cold Arctic snow is not the best for modelling, we took some inside to melt a little!  Dads idea.

The Model this year was my Birthday Present.

Mum sneaked it all the way from Belgium, home, then to Finland.

This is how he was made

Happy days.

12 Tags of 2013 - April

Here is my tag for the 12 Tags of 2013 April challenge.  Press here for details.

Mum says I can also enter it on the Artful Times Challenge site, this weeks theme is 'clean and simple' (would have been better if Mum had not persuaded me to cut so much of the white off!.)  Details of their challenge can be found here. It doesn't quite follow all the rules but hope its close enough.

As you see took 3 attempts at stamping, then coloured with Promarkers and gel pens.

Mum did the heat gun bit of heating the modelling film.
Then I coloured the dots to match the dress.

Sticking the dress on not so easy, thanks again Mum to the rescue, then put the dots back on, as mum says 'note to self', make sure ink is dry before trying to stick!

Hope you enjoyed looking.
Back soon with some more snow art from our holiday earlier in the month.

Snow Art

Well those of you that know my family will remember that

Snow + Tally + Paul (my Dad) = Art.

Here are the latest editions

I know that you are all trying to remember the name of the character!

Still not remembered yet?

Yes they are lollipops

That's it you remember now - its - Nero

And this is?

 Danger Mouse

Then I was inspired  by pipe cleaners -or as Georgie says chanelle sticks (sorry can't spell it)

another version of Nero

Snow Nero had his antenna stolen, we saw them go.
Hope the couple enjoyed them!

So after the night cruise Paul made him new ones.

All this was inspired by

Paul's Birthday present
A set of Danger Mouse DVDs
I am enjoying them lots

As it is forecast for more snow
There might be more snow art soon.
